Master Lorne Davidson

Over the span of the academy's twenty plus year history I've had the honour and privilege of mentoring and teaching hundreds of dedicated students as they followed through on their journey to attaining their black belt, many going on to achieve 2nd, 3rd and 4th degrees. All these journeys took years of commitment, perseverance, and resilience.

Since the academy's inception (2002) any student who achieved the rank of 1st degree and above was required as part of their rank achievement to write an essay about their journey. What it meant to them, what they learned about themselves and recognizing those who had helped and assisted them in their achievement in accomplishing their goal.

Through their stories you will share incredible experiences of students who have persevered through successes and failures to achieving their goals. I hope you will take a minute or two to read and be inspired by the journeys that some of our academy's students have taken over the past twenty plus years.
